Formal education may be serving its purpose. But it was never designed to help humanity evolve advanced life skills. Its purpose at the outset, after the industrial revolution reached 60 years of maturity, was simply to provide training for 20th-century employment.
After more than a hundred years, there are those trying to change formal education from within… as if the model itself is broken. We’ve just made the mistake of assuming it was ever going to be able to be much more than just a tool for commerce and industry.
So.. if education is unfit at its very core for optimal human growth development, have we allowed human evolution to be held captive by commercialization? Nothing wrong with Commerce, mind you. But shouldn’t we be evolving beyond what kept us alive ever since we moved out of caves?
Advanced Life Skills
Advanced life skills management help you navigate the complex world we live in and contribute to building a better future for yourself and everyone else. These skills include critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, adaptability, resilience, emotional intelligence, and more.
I sense a growing number of people acknowledging that the advanced life skills that prepare us for the real world are largely missing from formal education. Do you count yourself in that group? We’re talking about skills that’ll help you both excel in life, as well as contribute to sustainable human development. Do you want to bolster them within yourself and others? Then it’s time to focus on learning advanced life skills.

Personally, I believe advanced life skills management is an existential necessity. Without them, we’re likely to continue marching ourselves straight to extinction as the planet marches on one way or other. Why are these skills so important for sustainable human development? Because they empower individuals and communities to make informed decisions, solve problems, innovate, collaborate, and create positive change. They also help people cope with the challenges of the 21st century, such as climate change, social inequality, technological disruption, and global pandemics.
TLS (Teach Life Skills)
For the masses to really thrive, we can’t leave the learning and teaching of advanced life skills to chance. At the very least, they need the level and intensity of training that we throw at formal education.
Teach Life Skills is a clarion call to focus on emotional literacy. We believe it’s the key to unlocking fear-based thinking, feelings, problem-solving, and decision-making. It’s what moves us further beyond the fear-based, survival-focused cave dwellers of prehistoric times. There are levels! How far are you now? How far do you want to go?
There are many different ways to get involved. Whether it’s booking a call with us to see if you’re a good match for our HPP Mindset System, subscribing to our various publications, or just reading the blog for now.

Short-Term Focus on Teachers
In the next 6 to 18 months, TLS will be focusing on helping teachers who are actively looking for ways to increase their net income. I raised my hand for this first and started on the quest. Now the idea is to quickly pass along what I’m learning and implementing… almost in real-time. I still work in a school, and consider teachers a good fit as our first partners on our mission. After all, financial literacy is on that mandatory human curriculum!
Obviously, our content will therefore reflect the focus on teachers for a while. We still want YOU to look for how the content relates to your situation.
